Sultry ATL-based Singer, Aáyanna releases new record “Let Me Find Out”

Passionate, emotional, and sultry ATL-based R&B singer, Aáyanna is creating melodies that put us in the headspace of sensual and heartening musings as represented in her new record “Let Me Find Out”. The song explores the experience of taking a risk with someone that you would never give a chance and finding out that they’re the one after all. Her soft sound is a pure reflection of her and after listening she hopes that this record will have you feeling confident enough that you can get anyone. At the age of nineteen, Aáyanna is creating music that makes us feel good and that we can all connect to. In this conversation, Aáyanna talks us through the inspiration behind her soulful artistry, putting out new music, and her goal as an artist.

TRUTUYOU : What three words would you use to describe your artistry?
AÁYANNA :
Three words I’d use to describe my artistry are authentic, honest, and distinctive.TRUTUYOU : As an artist who creates such soulful music, who/what is your muse?
AÁYANNA :
Growing up, Jhene Aiko’s Sailing Soul(s) and Souled Out definitely had an impact on my writing, I started off really poetic. She was also the first female artist that I heard sing on beats with 808s and she showed me that I don’t have to be a belting ass singer to make music with emotion, or music that feels good.
TRUTUYOU : Your music has such a sweet and soft feel to it. Does this come naturally to you? Would you say it's a reflection of who you are?
AÁYANNA :
Thank you! I’d say that it’s partially a reflection of who I am. There are times where I wanna do harder songs or come off “hard” but in reality I think I’m just too soft for it to come off that way.TRUTUYOU : Let's talk about your new record "Let Me Find Out". What inspired this single and what are your intentions?
AÁYANNA :
When I wrote Let Me Find Out, I wasn’t really interested in dating anyone but I got inspired by the thought of entertaining someone I never gave a chance to in the past. My intentions are to inspire listeners to take risks with people.TRUTUYOU : What emotions would you like your listeners to feel when first listening to "Let Me Find Out"?
AÁYANNA :
I want them to feel sensual, confident, and like they could get anybody they want.TRUTUYOU : Would you say that you grow with each new project release? If so, how have you grown with this release?
AÁYANNA :
I grow with each release for sure. I feel like with this one, the production is a little more grown up compared to my last few singles. I’ve always had a sultry kind of voice, but I think this song embodies that the most so far.
TRUTUYOU : It's a few hours before the release of "Let Me Find Out", what are you doing? What mindset are you in? Who are you with? Where are you at?
AÁYANNA :
I’m probably with my family, feeling anxious and checking the time constantly. Overall it’s a very exciting moment knowing that my supporters get to hear something I’m proud of, but it’s a very nerve wracking experience as well.
TRUTUYOU : What's a song/ project of yours that you hold close to your heart?
AÁYANNA :
For You is my baby, only because it was on my first project I ever put together and it’s a lot of people’s favorite song. I think it’s a classic.TRUTUYOU : What is one of your main goals as an artist?
AÁYANNA :
One of my main goals is to become undeniably the best in every aspect possible, to the point where even if you don’t agree-- you still have to respect me.TRUTUYOU : Lastly, as an artist why do you feel it's so important to stay true to yourself?
AÁYANNA :
I think it’s important to stay true to yourself regardless of whether you’re an artist or not. However, as an artist there are so many people who will try to tell you who you should be and what you should do. There’s a lot of unhappy people in this world as a result, because they lose themselves trying to be someone they’re not. Nothing in this world is worth losing sight of who you are, that’s all you have.THANK YOU AÁYANNA! ︎
